The film is a perverse realization concerning the spatiality of film images. The artist put 41 black geometric shapes on successive sequences of street scenes. The two-dimensional character of flat geometric figures called into question the belief in the three-dimensional character of film space, its illusion, which is contradicted by both the flat film and the two-dimensional screen space.
