30 Sound Situation, 1975, 9’28”, 35 mm

Film about the possibility of evoking space by means of sound. was a record of performative actions. It consists of 30 sequences in which the artist, holding wooden boards in his hands, hits one against the other, which generates different sounds depending on the place of individual situations recorded, among others. in an empty lecture hall, library, on the stairs, against the background of a building, on a terrace, in a park, at a tram stop, in a narrow street, on an open street, at an intersection. The non-directional microphone facing the artist (at a distance of 5 meters indoors and 10 meters in situations recorded outdoors) recorded sound depending on the acoustic conditions of individual places. As a result, the soundtrack significantly influenced the perception of the filmed space.
