Out/Inside(rs)

DOX Center for Contemporary Art, Prague, 2013
The projection was inspired by events in Šluknov Spur, an economically neglected region in northern Bohemia, near the border with Germany, where neo-Nazi anti-Roma demonstrations had taken place.
In an installation presented at the Prague CCA, statues of important figures of Czech history and culture were animated with the voices and images of Roma children and young people speaking about their traumatic experiences related to prejudice, intolerance, and racist stereotyping.
The project was part of the exhibition Out/Inside(rs), DOX Center for Contemporary Art, Prague, 2013.
