For several years now, the artists have been traveling around Poland to photograph greetings, with the archivist’s consistency in creating a catalog of their transient beauty. These strange structures placed at the entrances to cities and towns are used to welcome arriving guests and encourage them to visit the city. They often take the form of abstract sculptures and installations. Many of them are deteriorating, the old ones, long forgotten, have ceased to function as an ornamental city gate.
