Positives, 2002-2003
A series of 8 color photographs that are a transformation of well-known photographs, strongly rooted in the consciousness of contemporary people. Libera looks at the negatives, i.e. prototypes, showing traumatic events such as the breaking of the Polish border in 1939, the liberation of a concentration camp, the death of Che Guevara, the dumping of napalm on a Vietnamese village during the Vietnam War, and transforms them into positives.
