Opening: Saturday, November 9, 6 p.m

Recordings is a three-year programme presenting film materials that provide insight into the activities of the international artistic avant-garde. Its idea is to make available to the public recordings that comprise live documentation of performances, happenings, concerts, street actions, ephemeral activities on the borderline of visual arts, theatre and music. The third edition of the programme presents materials related to the avant-garde movements of the 1960s and 70s. Spectacles, chamber performances, activities in the landscape, actions carried out in the streets of New York, Warsaw or Łódź show practices of radical artists whose provocative, alternative art is now part of the canon of visual culture of the 20th century. The film screenings are accompanied by an exhibition of photographic documentation.
