GREENHOUSES

2005 installation,
photoprint, glass, metal and wooden framework

In the project Greenhouses tha artists are bending over things disciplined by the restricitive urban order. They register little leaves of grass, pushing their way between the cracs and crevices of pavement stones. Trodden over and eradicated, the plants might find shelter under the protection of miniature greenhouses, meticulously made by the artists from glass and foil. However, these tiny glass houses are not as much an opportunity for survival as they are the way of accentuating what is neglected and what does not find place in the functionality of the regulations of urban space. In the project Greenhouses tha artists are bending over things disciplined by the restricitive urban order.
