Timeline, 2012
A series of 22 double canvases in which the artist used photos taken from Facebook, capturing images taken from the virtual world in a traditional painting medium. The left part of each work shows a photograph found on Facebook, painted in a negative inversion of tones. In the right part, the artist repainted texts accompanying individual photos, kept in a concise, “telegraph” style, concerning, among others, the world of culture and politics. His negative version of the paintings referred to their earlier form of recording on a film negative.
