Born in Częstochowa, Poland. Lives and works in New York City and Boston. During the 1980’s Harabasz worked as an art restorer in Poland end Italy. After coming to the USA she received her BFA degree from the College for Creative Studies and MFA degree from Wayne State University, both in Detroit, Michigan.
Harabasz has taught at several universities in United States. Between 2005- 2009 she was Visiting Artist/Professor at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. She was a lecturer at Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston. Currently she is teaching at Harvard University Graduate School of Design (Cambridge, MA).
Harabasz’s work has been exhibited widely in both solo and group shows in the United State, Europe and Israel. Most recently the 2010 Group Show Mutter Kulturzentrum bei den Minoriten, Graz, Austria. In 2011 her one person show was touring in Poland; BWA Olsztyn, Gallery WozownaiaTorun, Gallery Le Guern in Warsaw and Gallery Entropia in Wroclaw.
