Four Temples' Quarter, Wrocław
Installation, wax, paraffin

The minimalist installation in form of white wax puddles appeared in a narrow passage between tenement’s yard in The four Temples’ Quarter in wrocław. the objects, which contrasted with gray, concrete ground on the one hand attracted through their organic form, which resembled real puddles or giant drops; on the other, the prstine whiteness of wax caused dissonance, introduced an element of artificiality which created distance from natural, familiar form. solid drops or puddles frozen smoothly on the pavement forced us to pay attention to short-lasting, vanishing and usually unnoticed forms. Simultaneously, the material used in the insatllation in the context of the Fout Temples District opened up new areas for interpretation – including associations with votive candle wax on the churches floor.
